The Love quilt project goals
The two primary goals of the Love Quilt Project are to provide funds to support the specific educational and emotional needs of at-risk children living in foster care in South Africa and the United States. For each child we support they also receive emotional support through the gift a beautiful handmade quilt filled with messages of love.
CREATE A QUILT FOR A CHILD IN NEED
Our volunteer quilters are an essential part of the Love Quilt Project. You are taking the messages of love from school children and turning them into something tangible that truly has the power to comfort and give love to a child in need. A beautiful Love Quilt is often the only thing these children can call their own and the power of knowing that people love and care about them truly changes lives.
As a quilter, you not only brighten children’s lives but The Love Quilt project will also be making a contribution to the education of these children.
The Love Quilt Project supplies all the completed art squares, one logo square, and the log cabin pattern. You select your own fabric to best carry these messages to the children. We take your completed quilt top and add the batting and backing to complete the quilt. The quilts will be presented to boys and girls of all ages – infants to teens.
