Join us for a volunteer vacation to South Africa to wrap children in the warmth of a Love Quilt. You’ll be giving love and a better future to vulnerable children, many affected by the HIV / AIDS pandemic. It is truly a rewarding experience to give these orphaned children hope, love and more opportunity in their lives through education.
The deliveries will occur in Pretoria and the Cape Town areas. The vacation includes all flights and accommodations with trips to Krueger National Park for a safari, as well as a Winelands tour in the Stellenbosch area.

Full Day Soweto & Apartheid Museum Tour
Visit Children’s home to deliver Love Quilts
You will be collected to travel to Soweto, a sprawling cluster of townships on the south-western flank of Johannesburg. You will visit the Hector Pieterson Memorial in Orlando West and stop at Mandela House Museum, Nelson Mandela’s former humble house in Orlando West. The museum contains an assortment of memorabilia, paintings and photographs of the Mandela family and honorary doctorates bestowed on Nelson Mandela. After a stop for lunch, you shall proceed to the Apartheid Museum. Illustrating the rise and fall of apartheid. The exhibits have been assembled and organized by a multi-disciplinary team of curators, film-makers, historians and designers. They include graphic film footage, photographs, text panels and artifacts depicting the events and stories of apartheid. You will then return to your hotel at approximately 5:30 pm.
Cape Town
Full Day Cape Point & Peninsula Tour
This awe-inspiring tour begins with a tour of Table Mountain (weather permitting and cable car fee included). You will then travel along the Atlantic Seaboard to Hout Bay, a quaint village and fishing harbor. It’s then on to Chapman’s Peak, one of the world’s most breath-taking coastal drives, to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and Cape Point. It’s then off to historic Simon’s Town, a village with charming Victorian architecture, a naval base and a large penguin colony at the beautiful Boulders Beach. Boulders Penguin Colony is home to a growing colony of the endangered African Penguin. A lunch stop is made (lunch to own account) and the day ends with a visit to the celebrated Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens. The Garden includes five of South Africa’s six different biomes and is world-renowned for the beauty and diversity of the Cape Flora it displays as well as for the magnificence of its setting against the eastern slopes of Table Mountain.

Full Day Winelands Tour
Visit Children’s home to deliver Love Quilts
This tour immerses you into the heart of the famous Cape Winelands, where wine, art and gourmet cuisine delight and inspire. You will explore the town of Stellenbosch, with its giant oak trees and beautifully preserved historic buildings. You will then move on to Franschhoek, South Africa’s French capital that has a poignant history that dates back to the 17th Century. You will enjoy a wine tasting and then lunch at one of the many award-winning restaurants (lunch for your own account). Your last stop will be Paarl; one of the Cape’s first farming districts, set at the foot of the cluster of remarkable granite domes from which it takes its name. You will return to Stellenbosch in the late afternoon and be dropped off at your hotel.

International airlines allow 2 pieces of luggage per person. Domestic airlines only allow 20lbs, hence travelers will have to pay baggage fees at airport check in for extra luggage.
